As a team we deliver data-driven insights to support the business decision making and optimizing their processes, enhance efficiency, and drive continuous improvement across the global FEC organization.
You and your job
As a Data Analyst you work in a team that is situated in a rapidly changing and challenging environment (i.e. external regulatory demands, new innovations, compliance requirements). In this role, you will be at the forefront of this emerging field, exploring uncharted territories and developing innovative solutions. Your ability to think creatively and take initiative will be crucial in being part of Business Insights.
You will collaborate closely with the business to understand their business needs. From there you will analyze FEC and customer data to generate actionable insights to help business stakeholders understand their business, risks and processes. Based on your analysis and findings you will collaborate with them to implement improvements.
Additionally, you are able to communicate complex data in a clear and understandable manner. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a passion for process improvement, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Practical Examples

  • A new system is implemented to automate a number of customer outreach processes. You determine what new logging data has been made available and how these can be incorporated into our data models for analysis.
  • The Chief FEC Officer wants to understand if we spend time reviewing clients that do not represent significant risks to the bank. You devise methodology to evaluate if this is thecase and prepare a presentation sharing your conclusions.
  • A department head would like to have a better understanding of how future regulation would impact their portfolio. You formulate a plan of approach on how to bridge the gap between the functional requirements and the available data and tooling.

  • Business Process Understanding: Gain a deep understanding of business processes to contextualize data analysis.
  • Proactive advisory: Identify the business needs and provide actionable recommendations to the business based on data analysis.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven strategies align with business goals.
