Role DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team. This role involves extracting actionable insights from complex data sets to drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data manipulation and visualization tools, and excellent communication skills. A key responsibility of this position is to meticulously document all projects undertaken, ensuring transparency, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing within the organization. The role will be based in Belview Port, Waterford and will involve working in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.• Strong proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).• Expertise in Power BI data visualization tools• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.• Attention to detail and accuracy.• Strong written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Advantageous

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.• Experience with Azure cloud-based data platform.• Knowledge of statistical modeling techniques (e.g., regression, time series analysis).• Experience with data governance and quality management.• Experience in compilation of SOPs/ WIs.

Data Collection and Preparation:  Gather and consolidate data from various sources (databases, spreadsheets, APIs). Cleanse, validate, and transform data into suitable formats for analysis. Identify and handle missing data, outliers, and inconsistencies. Performance Optimisation: Identify and address performance issues related to queries, data models, and ETL processes
 Data Analysis and Modeling:  Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies. Develop statistical models and algorithms to analyze data and derive insights. Conduct hypothesis testing and build predictive models as required.
 Data Visualization:  Create clear and compelling visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to communicate findings effectively. Tailor visualizations to different audiences, from technical to non-technical stakeholders. Reporting and Dashboard Development: Create interactive and visually appealing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI tools. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all data and visualisations
 Project Documentation:  Develop comprehensive project documentation, including:  Project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Data sources, cleaning processes, and transformations. Analytical methodologies and models employed. Data visualizations and insights generated. Conclusions and recommendations. Maintain up-to-date project documentation and share it with relevant stakeholders.
 Collaboration and Communication:  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions. Communicate complex findings and insights clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. Present data-driven recommendations to influence decision-making.
