You’ll ideally start alongside each other, will help shape how we work, and set the tone for the team’s culture from day one. It’s a rare chance to combine camaraderie with real ownership. This role has a strong Power BI focus, so for our Data Analyst, we’re looking for someone who loves solving real problems, shaping clear stories from messy data, and partnering across the business to unlock cost savings and operational wins. About the role - Mō te tūranga We’re in a period of exciting change and that means you’ll get to work across multiple datasets, moving from on-premise to cloud systems, and provide insights that directly influence fast-paced decision-making. Key responsibilities include: Own Power BI development: data modelling, dashboard design, optimisation, and storytelling. Analysing complex datasets to identify trends, optimise operations, and drive cost savings Lead or contribute to projects that improve processes and business outcomes Collaborate with teams across Auckland, Nelson, and Palmerston North What will you bring? – Ōu Pūkenga? You’re a technically strong analyst who loves a challenge and you’re comfortable working in a lean environment. Additionally, you’ll bring: Demonstrated hands‑on Power BI experience — data modelling, DAX, visuals, refresh logic, performance tuning. Strong SQL and/or Python and a track record of analysis that changed a decision or result. (We value commercial impact as much as code.) Ability to simplify complex data and build dashboards that land with impact. Clear communication — you can reduce noise and tell a tight story that non‑technical stakeholders understand.
