Salary Statement: Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $96,600.00/Yr. - USD $160,850.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Description:

  • Strategizes and identifies unique opportunities to locate and collect new data, explores and mines data from many angles, and determines what it means.
  • Execute analytical experiments methodically to help understand geodata using commercial hardware.
  • Communicates data findings to decision makers to influence how an organization approaches and meets business challenges of an evolving customer base.
  • Develops customized algorithms to solve analytical problems with incomplete geodata sets and implements automated processes for efficiently producing scale models.
  • Produce map visualization of geodata to explore trends and anomalies.
  • Interacts directly with customer providing technical training which helps to identify customer’s problems.
  • Conducting instructor-led training and assess progress of students in meeting desired objectives, including advising and assisting them to improve their performance.
  • Analyzing actual and predictable interacting operational activities of a military, governmental, or business system to obtain a quantitative and rational basis for decision-making or resource allocation related to training.
  • Giving oral briefings and communicating effectively in writing to negotiate and conduct discussions with customers and to advise using a high degree of tact and diplomacy
  • Utilizing knowledge of military related experience in the application of C2, ISR, and air-ground combat TTPs or operational challenges
  • Utilizing knowledge and experience in Naval operations and or general military implemented tactics, techniques, & procedures
  • Interacting with foreign combat units, unified commands, intelligence, and support agencies as necessary
  • Willing to travel up to 50% to OCONUS sites

Requirements:

  • This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, software engineering, statistics, data science or a related technical field and 5 + (five plus) years’ experience in predictive analytics, statistical analysis, machine learning, programming or data analytics; or a Master’s degree in stats, applied math, or a related discipline and 3+ (three plus) years or related experience.
  • Experience working with large data sets.
  • The primary or most necessary skills required for this job are analytical skills. Other important skills include strong mathematics skills (e.g., statistics, algebra), exceptional technical writing skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Comfortable with presenting and instructing large groups both in-person and virtually.

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to present to a camera for curriculum-related projects
  • Prior military and or DoD experience desired
  • Understanding of Naval or Ground Operations
  • Knowledge of IPOE/IPB
  • Knowledge of Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and UN Convention of Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)
