Data Analyst (Intermediate) US Federal Solutions Supporting the Federal Protective Service (FPS), Department of Homeland Security Region 1 US Federal Solutions is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support the Federal Protective Service within the Department of Homeland Security. This role focuses on turning data into clear, actionable insights that support program management, operational decision making, and strategic objectives across FPS Region 1. This position is ideal for an analyst who enjoys working closely with program leadership, understands structured government environments, and can translate complex data into meaningful analysis and reporting. What You’ll Do As a Data Analyst, you will support program and project teams through hands on analysis, reporting, and data driven problem solving. Key responsibilities include: Apply analytic methodologies and principles to address client needs, evaluate project objectives, and support strategic direction. Collect, analyze, and model data using a variety of qualitative and quantitative techniques. Conduct interviews, research, and data gathering in support of operational and management initiatives. Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI, including creation and maintenance of DAX formulas. Integrate and analyze data from SharePoint, Excel, and other Microsoft 365 tools to support reporting and decision making. Support survey efforts, data validation, and ongoing performance measurement activities. Assist with budgeting, cost control, statistical process control, and risk analysis as assigned. Collaborate closely with senior program staff and project team members to ensure analysis aligns with mission needs. Communicate findings clearly through written products, briefings, and visual dashboards. Strong skills in data collection, modeling, analysis, and reporting. Hands on experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with both technical and non technical stakeholders. Experience supporting government or public sector programs is a plus.
