EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics. 1-3 years demonstrated experience as a Data Analyst or similar role. Strong proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (i.e., Power BI). Proficiency in statistical analysis and data manipulation using tools like Python. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity. The following are all pluses: Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques. Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes. Advanced proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools. Experience with SCADA systems. Familiarity with food industry regulations and compliance standards.

ROLE:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Information Technology Data Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. As a Data Analyst at Wolfgang Confectioners, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, driving informed decision-making and strategic planning. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data analysis tools, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep the business running, thriving, and relevant.
The role of a Data Analyst is dynamic and evolving, requiring adaptability and a commitment to staying current with technological advancements and best practices in data analysis. Successful Data Analysts are critical thinkers who can translate complex datasets into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making within an organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Collection and Cleaning: In a sustainable fashion, gather and compile data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness. | Cleanse and preprocess raw data to remove inconsistencies and errors.
Data Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and outliers | Develop and implement statistical models to analyze complex datasets | Generate actionable insights through data interpretation and visualization.
Reporting: Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key findings to stakeholders | Provide regular and ad-hoc reports to support decision-making processes.
Data Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from different systems and sources including Ignition from Inductive Automation (SCADA system) | Ensure data consistency and accuracy across multiple databases.
Predictive Modeling: Build predictive models to forecast trends and outcomes | Evaluate model performance and refine algorithms as necessary.
Data Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce data quality standards and best practices | Conduct audits to identify and rectify data discrepancies.
