Description

DATA ANALYTICS ENGINEER - 6 MONTH CONTRACT - HYBRID WORKING - PORTSMOUTH OFFICE - INSIDE IR35

My large UK based client is looking for a Data Analytics Engineer to join their IT Security team on a contract basis and provide support with building out a suite of security-focused data products. They have been actively delivering solutions within an Azure Databricks environment for the past 2 years and now need to further develop their services and productionise their offerings.

Some of your responsibilities would include:

  • Develop a solution that will scale to allow multiple data sources to be easily added to (and removed from) the solution over time to be ingested into a central data store which can then be analysed using a single reporting tool (Power BI).
  • Ensure the continued safety, security, and integrity of IT services by ensuring the solution complies with data security, audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to interpret requirements and deliver functionality in an iterative release cycle.

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Technical experience in or knowledge of deploying, configuring, and developing solutions primarily using Databricks, and experience of pulling and pushing data using web APIs. A strong understanding of data modelling is essential.
  • Experience delivering data products with Microsoft Power BI
  • Qualifications or equivalent experience in Databricks, Azure Fundamentals, Azure Security and Microsoft Power BI would be highly beneficial.
