As a Data & Analytics Governance Co-op at Liberty Mutual Investments (LMI), you’ll play a hands-on role supporting our mission to make data more trusted, discoverable, and actionable. You’ll work with experienced data professionals to enhance our metadata management, data reporting, and governance practices. You’ll gain exposure to best practices for data management, governance reporting, and asset management. This is a great opportunity to apply your analytical and technical skills while learning how data governance supports a global investment organization. What You’ll Do Support metadata tagging and data cataloging within our governance tools (e.g., Collibra, iceDQ, Snowflake). Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics and governance insights. Assist in data quality analysis, identifying and documenting data issues or inconsistencies. Use tools like SQL, Python, PowerBI, and Custom GPTs to extract data and analyze trends. Maintain documentation that explains data governance policies. Contribute to team initiatives that enhance transparency, accountability, and trust in investment data. Qualifications What You Bring You are an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field, with a strong academic record (3.0 GPA or higher preferred). Ability to work full-time from January – June 2026. Permanent work authorization in the United States. Solid understanding or strong interest in data visualization and statistical analysis concepts, investments topics such as portfolio management, fixed income, private and alternative investments, risk management, financial reporting, and research. Demonstrated experience or strong interest in Power BI dashboard development and data visualization, SQL or Python for data manipulation and analysis. Strong intellectual curiosity, demonstrated through an analytical mindset and a passion for solving data-related problems. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment. High level of attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
