MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS

  • Have experience from roles as a Data/BI architect, Senior BI consultant or Data Engineer either in-house or from a consultant company.
  • Experience as a manager (formal or informal) or team lead is an advantage.
  • We expect that you have a broad knowledge of Azure Data Services ex. Microsoft Fabric, Synapse Analytics, Data Pipelines, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL DB, Azure Data Lake and Power BI.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years experience working within Data analysis, Data Engineering and/or Business Intelligence.
  • Experienced in creating star-schemas and data modelling especially working in a data lakehouse architecture.
  • Have experience with SQL, Spark SQL, PySpark, DAX and Power BI and working with Notebooks
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage and communicate with senior business-leaders.
  • Have experience of working with several external development vendors and vendor management.
  • Thrive in a fast-moving and dynamic business environment where operations and business requirements might change fast.
  • Have experience with different source systems, having experience with Microsoft Navision/Trimit, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, NewStore, InRiver, Bloomreach, JIRA and SharePoint is an advantage.
  • A plus would be to have experience with Customer Data Platforms and a business focused on Direct-to-consumer.
  • Maybe you have experience with object-oriented programming like Python or C#.

GANNI is on an exciting growth journey, aiming to become a digital-first, direct-to-consumer brand. To achieve this, our Digital Development & Data department plays a key role in building a future-proof technical landscape that supports our ambitions.
We are currently in a transition phase, establishing a modern, scalable data platform and reporting framework based on Microsoft Fabric. This means you’ll have the opportunity to work with new technology while also shaping the way we do things. Your expertise will help define best practices and ensure our data infrastructure is built for the future.
The Data & Analytics Manager you will be responsible for the data team consisting of a Data Engineer and a Data Analyst. The Data team is part of the Digital Development & Data Management department which covers a lot of different areas from Data platform & Analytics, Integrations, ERP, Omnichannel & PMO.
As a Data Manager be responsible for the Data Platform & Analytics development backlog. You will take the lead and participate in stakeholder meetings with different departments, scoping sessions and work hands-on with development ensuring we follow architectural guidelines.
We’re looking for someone who actively ensures stable and efficient operations while continuously improving and refining our data infrastructure as well as securing a good and professional work environment for your team.
You have experience collaborating across all levels of the business and working closely with departments like Finance, Sales, Operations, and Marketing. We see you as a trusted advisor for all things related to Business Intelligence, automation, and reporting - someone who can provide guidance on any questions that arise. You act as a technical sparring partner, supporting new business initiatives and advising on how to best utilize and activate data.

RESPONSIBILITIES AHEAD OF YOU

  • Being a people manager and leading a team of two (Data Engineer and Data Analyst) as well as 1-2 external data engineers in all development related work in all from data integration, data transformation to data visualisation.
  • Maintain and steer the Data Platform & Analytics backlog and priorities.
  • Participate and lead scoping sessions with business stakeholders.
  • Responsible for translating business requirements into a technical solution
  • Making sure to have a consistent technical direction of the data deliverables to ensure a futureproof architecture
  • Be an advisor and sparring partner for different departments as well as for the department manager.
  • Perform code reviews for and with colleagues and externals
  • Ensure a stable data platform and reporting landscape meeting end-user expectations
  • Collaborate closely with ex. Integration Architects to support each other on integration and for enabling data products for the integration platform
  • Like and thrive in working hands-on and can support when needed on technical issues and development.
