Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: Days (United States of America) Primary Function/General Purpose of Position The Internal Audit Data Analytics Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of data analytics strategies within the Internal Audit function. This role assists in managing the Internal Audit department data analytics program to enhance audit effectiveness, identify risks, and provide insights that support the organization's strategic objectives. The manager will conceptualize, build, and administer data analysis routines, in collaboration with the internal audit team and management. Essential Job Functions Lead the development and use of data analytics tools and techniques to extract, analyze and visualize data to support data driven audit approaches, and enhance the completeness, accuracy, and overall effectiveness of audit engagements through data. Identify and manage analysis and automation solutions to assist in risk assessment and audit scoping. Develop analyses of large quantitative data sets to uncover insights on emerging risks, risk tolerance performance, key performance indicators, and key risk indicators. Create trend analyses to provide insights into the performance of operations and high-risk areas. Promote the use of risk-based sampling, outlier detection, and trend analysis to identify anomalies and potential control weaknesses, ensuring comprehensive audit coverage across business processes. Develop and maintain automated data analytic routines that enable continuous auditing and real-time risk monitoring. Leverage modern visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms) to create interactive data exploration tools that highlight trends, anomalies, and risk indicators. Collaborate with business and process owners to develop and translate analyses into insightful and actionable recommendations that enhance business outcomes, improve controls, and mitigate risk. Assists in the preparation of analytic deliverables for presentations to management and governance; may present findings to management as appropriate. Oversee analytics requests, prioritization, and project delivery timelines Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources to ensure data is accurate, complete, and ready for analysis. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality and analytics application functionality. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve analytics practices. Develop and conduct staff training in analytic tools and data analysis techniques and visualization of data. Licensing/Certification CISA, CPA, CIA and/or CAP (preferred) Education Bachelors degree in business, information systems technology, information security, accounting, data science, statistics or related area (required) Work Experience 3-5 years in data analytics or business intelligence, preferably in an audit or healthcare setting Proficiency in multiple data analysis and automation tools (e.g., ACL, SQL, Excel, Python, R), and experience using data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience working with large datasets. Ability to approach and resolve difficult issues using innovative problem-solving skills, and to independently learn new technologies. Project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fluctuating environment. Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies. Experience and knowledge of healthcare operations. Understanding of auditing standards and internal control frameworks.
