Data Analytics Summer Student! May - August 2026 POSITION SUMMARY: To design, develop, and maintain BI solutions (like dashboards, reports, and data models) that help New Flyer stakeholders understand business performance and make data-driven decisions. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Data Integration & ETL Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses or BI platforms. Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy. Report & Dashboard Development Create interactive dashboards and reports Collaboration with Stakeholders Work closely with business analysts and business stakeholders to understand requirements. Translate business needs into technical specifications. Performance Optimization Optimize queries and reports for performance and scalability. Monitor and troubleshoot BI systems. Documentation & Training Document BI solutions and processes. Train end-users on how to use BI tools effectively. Other duties as assigned WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Post-secondary education in a Business or STEM field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience Any combination of training and/or certifications in Data Science, Statistics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision are preferred Two years of experience with databases, ETL, and data warehousing. Oracle, Fabric and Snowflake preferred. Two years of experience with designing, developing and deploying BI products Proficient in Python and SQL programming. Expert with BI visualization tools.
