EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years related industry experience required.
  • BICSI RCDD designation an asset.
  • Data Centre Design credential an asset.
  • Vendor Certified Training on data & communications products an asset.
  • Requires a high level of technical/product knowledge of Data & Communications products.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • University/College Diploma preferred, Technical Diploma an asset.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Some travel required.
Responsibilities
  • Support the sales team with Data and Communications technology knowledge and pricing to enhance project outcomes.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers, establish contacts, gain loyalty and stay informed about new products.
  • Meet clients alone or alongside sales representatives, to assess their needs and propose products.
  • Work with Projects team to review technical specifications and coordinate the datacom and security aspects of projects.
  • Negotiate project opportunities with customers.
  • Generate and present cost saving opportunities in respects to datacom & security projects for the company.
  • Support inventory initiatives, including qualifying datacom and security inventory and developing strategies.
  • Assist Branch Managers, purchasing, and pricing groups with inventory suggestions, stock rotation, and work closely with the replenishment group.
  • This position requires specific market industry knowledge of TIA standards, CCTV, copper and fiber optic networks, and the ability to read engineering drawings to make pricing decisions and offer product solutions.
