PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Experience of a data analytics environment and a natural problem solver.
  • Skilled in using a data visualisation tool. Power BI preferred. Fluency in SQL – highly advantageous.
  • Experience of using data to tell a story and provide business context to inform business decisions.
  • Proactive and pragmatic approach to innovation.
  • A team player but able to work under own initiative and escalate as necessary.
  • Ability to organise,prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
  • Good communicator, at all levels, and has the ability to present their case competently and fluently – both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple issues and short term projects concurrently.
  • IT literacy – Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required.
  • Evidence of working with, and managing, stakeholders.
  • Experience of managing change and influencing attitudes
  • Previous experience working with Python / R - Desirable
Responsibilities

JOB OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather insight for the business to use to drive value for customers and internal colleagues.
  • Work closely with our strategic clients to provide insight and diagnostic analyses. Understand and develop automated reporting of KPIs and their drivers – work with the account team to show how they can be improved.
  • Improve, execute and effectively communicate significant analysis that identifies meaningful trends and opportunities within the business.
  • Generate reports and dashboards based on collected data if required from areas of the business.
  • Identify different types of data that need tracking to improve business performance.
  • Work alongside management teams to prioritise suggested changes to each business area.
  • Improve systems by studying current practises and designing modfications

HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
