ABOUT YOU
Are you looking for an opportunity to use your research skills to make a real difference to the lives of our Armed Forces Community?
Are you ready to support Insight Managers in creating and managing research communities to deliver insights to inform our strategy, services and campaigns? If yes, then we want to hear from you.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Insight Officer (Research Communities) to join our Data, Insight and Research team. You will have experience in qualitative and quantitative research, including building and running research communities; drafting discussion guides; writing and building surveys; running focus groups and analysing mixed methods data to identify insights.
Your research experience will be guided by your understanding of research ethics and data protection protocols.
You’ll be great at planning and have the skills to work autonomously on multiple projects, using your good reasoning and judgement to make effective decisions.
You will enjoy using your problem-solving skills to keep up to date with the latest research and identify new opportunities for investigation, as part of assisting with a variety of research and insights projects.
Using your strong written and verbal communication skills, you’ll enjoy building connections quickly with research participants and working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, embracing our mission to make sure our insights are accessible and meaningful to those who may have limited experience of using insights.
If this sounds like you, then we want to hear from you!
ABOUT US
Help for Heroes believes those who serve our country deserve support when they’re wounded. Every day, men and women have to leave their career in the Armed Forces as a result of physical or psychological wounds. The Charity helps them, and their families, to recover and get on with their lives. It has already supported more than 26,500 people and won’t stop until every wounded veteran gets the support they deserve.
This is an exciting opportunity to support Help for Heroes with embedding knowledge and Insight within our strategy.
The role we are appointing will focus on supporting Insight Managers with the day-to-day delivery of insights projects, to inform decision-making across the charity, including supporting funding applications.
You will assist on qualitative and quantitative research projects, which will involve drafting discussion guides, conducting interviews, transcribing recordings. You will take responsibility for managing our research database, building surveys and mailers using survey platforms such as Smart Survey to engage and grow our research community.
You will be involved in our research which creates opportunities for the Armed Forces community to inform projects and strategic plans – working in co-productive and co-creative ways to learn from veterans and family members.
By conducting desk research, you will keep up to date with the latest research connected to the Armed Forces community, supporters and fundraising.
This role offers a real opportunity to be part of team which is making a difference to the way Help for Heroes impacts on the lives of Armed Forces Community.
