Regional School Unit 57Title: Data and Software SpecialistQualifications: Associates degree in the field of computer science and/or minimum 3 years equivalent work experience.Prefer Certifications in Google or AppleReports to: Director of TechnologyJob Goal: Under the supervision of the Technology Director, the Data Specialist supports the district staff and major technology initiatives.The Data Specialist is also responsible for setting up and maintaining staff and student accounts in major software initiatives such as: Lexia, Scholastic, IXL, NWEA, etc.Performance Responsibilities: Responsible for managing outside app services, GAFE, the function of the district help ticket system, and other tasks to support the software team.Administer and manage apps used in the school district to enhance learning, manage data, and perform business functions.Manage account creation and maintenance of Standardized Assessments both state and local assessments.Manage account creation and maintenance for all key educational products and software applications utilizing Clever, or the current district single sign-on platform when appropriate.Field incoming help requests from end users via multiple modalities (ticket system, phone, email, text, chat and remote access) in an efficient and courteous manner.Build rapport and elicit problem details from customers.Prioritize and schedule problems. Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced Specialist.Utilize the trouble ticket system to record, track, and support resolving HelpDesk requests.Apply remote access tools and superior problem solving strategies to keep customers successful.Access knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.Perform post-resolution follow-ups so customer requests are resolved successfully and support user perception of the tech dept. support.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.
