JOB DESCRIPTION:

Seeking a highly technical individual with 5+ years of experience in Database and Analytics Systems development. Responsibilities include understanding customer requirements, building data management platforms on AWS services like EMR, Redshift, S3, etc., and converting Hive SQL to AWS Glue based SQL. Additionally, you’ll prepare architecture briefs, advise on live system changes, and extract best-practice knowledge for sharing with the AWS community. Strong communication skills, AWS certification, and a technical degree are required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of Database and/or Analytics Systems development experience.
Experience in software development, IT implementation/consulting, and security/compliance.
Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.
Proficiency in implementing AWS services in various business environments.
Knowledge of infrastructure requirements like Networking, Storage, and Hardware Optimization.
BS level technical degree required; Computer Science or Mathematics preferred.
AWS Certification preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Hands-on experience leading large-scale database, data warehousing, and analytics projects.
Industry leadership in Big Data, Database Migration, Data Warehousing, Data Sciences, and Analytics.
Deep understanding of data and network security, Statistics, Machine Learning, and Predictive Modeling.
Experience as a database, data warehouse, or big data/analytics developer or administrator.
Knowledge of modern software development practices and technologies.
Technical degrees in computer science, software engineering, or mathematics.
