PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Architect with strong experience in designing and implementing enterprise-grade data solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role requires a deep understanding of data platforms, architecture patterns, governance, and modern data stack tooling. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, engineers, and business leaders to define scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures that support AI and analytics use cases.

Lead the design and delivery of modern data platforms on Azure (e.g., Data Lakes, Lakehouses, Warehouses)

• Architect scalable data solutions using Azure-native services such as Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Fabric
• Define and enforce data modelling, data integration, and data governance standards
• Collaborate with AI Architects, Engineers, and Business SMEs to ensure data platforms support downstream analytics and machine learning pipelines
• Drive technical discussions and provide architectural leadership across client engagements
• Create architecture artefacts, patterns, and reusable assets to accelerate delivery
• Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and cloud best practices

KEY SKILLS:

• Strong experience architecting and delivering data platforms on Azure
• Proficiency in Azure services including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, etc.
• Excellent understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and ELT/ETL frameworks
• Familiarity with Lakehouse architectures, real-time data processing, and event-driven design
• Working knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., Purview) and data security best practices
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, or related data technologies
• Consulting experience or stakeholder-facing experience in complex enterprise environments
• Bonus: Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or other modern data stack tools
