POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Security clearance: Reliability Clearance granted preferably or eligible (5+ years residing in Canada)
This role is open for candidates across Canada.
We are seeking a hands-on Data Architect with deep expertise in data migration analysis and planning along with experience in AWS Glue. This role will be responsible for analyzing current and future state data architectures, designing scalable solutions, and leading the execution of complex data migration initiatives.

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze current state and target state data models, databases, and integration patterns.
• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions on AWS.
• Lead the development of data migration plans.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue.
• Define and enforce data architecture standards, best practices, and governance policies.
• Provide hands-on support in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), schema design, and performance tuning.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering, with a strong focus on cloud data platforms and data migration.
• Proven experience with AWS Databases and AWS Glue
• Strong expertise in data modeling, database design, and data integration.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
