DATA ARCHITECT

Changeis, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Architect to support our current work.
As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and governing the overall data ecosystem for the client’s data initiatives, from ingestion to the creation of advanced data products. You will work closely with data governance teams, business stakeholders, technical SMEs, and Business Analysts to form a broad, strategic understanding of client data. Your work will be critical in establishing a modern, scalable, and secure data platform that supports the client’s mission-critical objectives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data management.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms and data products.
  • Deep understanding of data integration patterns, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts for business stakeholders.

PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Direct experience with Palantir Foundry and/or StreamSets.
  • Experience working in a federal government or regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and metadata management tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., IFS) and supply chain data.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement end-to-end data architecture for large-scale data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics environments.
  • Develop and champion a Medallion architecture pattern for data products.
  • Work with Business Analysts and stakeholders to develop data ontologies, lineage documentation, and conceptual/logical data models.
  • Define standards for data integration and oversee the ingestion of data from various sources (RDBMS, ERPs, CAD systems) using platforms like StreamSets and Palantir Foundry.
  • Ensure data solutions align with client’s security, governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineering teams on best practices for data modeling, data quality, and performance optimization.
