Description
Overview As a Data Engineering Architect specializing in Snowflake, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data pipelines, managing data migration projects, and providing pre-sales support to our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of data solutions that meet business requirements. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: - Data Pipeline Design: - Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of data in Snowflake. - Implement ETL/ELT processes to ensure data quality and integrity. - Data Migration: - Lead data migration projects from on-premises or other cloud platforms to Snowflake. - Develop migration strategies, including data mapping, transformation, and validation processes. - Architecture and Best Practices: - Define and implement best practices for data architecture, data modeling, and data governance within Snowflake. - Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business goals. - Pre-Sales Support: - Assist the sales team in pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and proposal development. - Engage with clients to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions leveraging Snowflake. - Collaboration and Leadership: - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to deliver data-driven solutions. - Mentor and guide junior data en Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. - 10 to 15 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data architecture and pipeline design. - Strong expertise in Snowflake, including data warehousing, data modeling, and performance tuning. - Experience with data migration projects, including knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and methodologies. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data integration tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica). - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Proven experience in pre-sales support and client engagement is a plus.
