PurposeCare is an integrated platform company that coordinates care in the community with a focus on individuals who are dually eligible for Medicaid and Medicare. Our family of companies provide home care to assist individuals with daily living as well as skilled clinical services to treat acute conditions and manage wellness. PurposeCare is private equity funded and growing quickly through mergers and acquisitions. We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design, develop, and maintain our data infrastructure and ensure our data systems are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern data platforms and analytics engineering, with the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Responsibilities · Design and implement scalable data models that support analytics and reporting initiatives. · Build and optimize data pipelines and transformations using dbt, Prefect, and other modern data tools. · Architect and manage cloud-based data warehousing solutions in Snowflake. · Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. · Establish and enforce data governance standards, best practices, and documentation. · Optimize database performance, including query tuning and data warehouse optimization. · Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to improve our data ecosystem. Required Skills · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related fields. · Advanced proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and query optimization. · Expertise in data modeling methodologies such as dimensional modeling or similar approaches. · Hands-on experience architecting and managing Snowflake (or other cloud-based data platforms like BigQuery, Databricks, or similar technologies). · Proven experience building and maintaining dbt projects, including implementing testing and documentation best practices. · Track record of delivering enterprise-scale data solutions. Preferred Skills · Experience with Azure cloud services and data storage solutions. · Proficiency in Python for data processing, scripting, and automation tasks. · Experience with Prefect for Python-based workflow orchestration. · Familiarity with healthcare data standards and compliance requirements, particularly HIPAA. · Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes across multiple systems and sources. · Working knowledge of various database platforms, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and others. · Experience working with RESTful APIs or building custom API integrations. · Curiosity about experimenting with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and others for data workflows and automation. Location This role can either be in Chicago (we have office space in Rosemont) or can be fully remote.
