Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Data Architect Location: Hybrid remote Department: Federal Government Type: Full Time Min. Experience: Experienced Security Clearance Level: Public Trust (MBI) Military Veterans are highly encouraged to apply! Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead data framework design, data modeling, structuring, governance, and sustainability approach aligned to non-technical users Develop and maintain data models to represent the organization’s information architecture Ensure data integrity, consistency, and normalization across databases Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure optimal responsiveness and efficiency Identify and address bottlenecks, database tuning, and optimization opportunities Implement and enforce data security policies to safeguard sensitive information Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to data management Provide technical guidance and support to the development team on database-related issues Collaborate with the team to generate technical documentation including development planning, technical architecture, software testing, and deployment process Required Skills and Experience Five (5) or more years of experience in data architecture or data management Five (5) or more years of experience with structuring fragmented data environments Five (5) or more years of experience with the Microsoft data ecosystem (e.g. SharePoint, Azure, and Power BI) Five (5) or more years of experience utilizing data governance practices Professional Certifications None required Years of Professional Experience Five (5) or more years of professional experience Desired experience n/a Formal Education Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field Citizenship Requirement U.S. Citizenship required for this specific opportunity Security Clearance Requirements Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) CRITICAL NOTES: SSG will not make assumptions regarding your qualifications. Travel will be required to Arlington, VA and Paris, France. You must possess a current U.S. passport U.S Citizenship is required for this specific opportunity.
