ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hands-on experience with copper and fibre cabling, ideally in a data centre or similar environment
  • Must have a full driving license, access to your own transport and be willing to travel to different sites around the area.
  • Must have a current Safe Pass or be willing to get one before commencing employment
  • Certification in Working at Heights, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP) or Hoist Operator training are an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Cabling Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and testing of Cat6/Cat6A and fibre optic cabling across a range of operational settings. The role requires a methodical approach to ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and strict security procedures. While prior experience is important, we value individuals who are also keen to build on their existing skills and adapt to evolving technologies and standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installation and testing of Cat6, Cat6a, and Fibre Optic cabling in a range of environments
  • Interpreting construction drawings to guide installation work
  • Follow Health and Safety regulations and Site Management requirements at all times
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably required to support the team and project objectives
