JOB SUMMARY:
This is a full-time, salaried position that reports to the Mission Critical Cx Operations Manager. The Data Center Commissioning (Both Electrical and Mechanical specialties) Provider will work internally and externally with other Project Team Members to successfully deliver a fully commissioned building to our clients. This opportunity is a 100% remote position and will require approximately 50-70% travel, locally and nationally, to commissioning sites.
As a Data Center Commissioning Provider you will be responsible to perform the following activities:
- Ability to effectively coordinate with general contractors, sub-contractors, vendors and the owner verbally and in writing.
- Cx Design reviews including OPR, BOD, Plans and Specifications
- Review of submittals and shop drawings.
- Perform periodic Site Observation Visits during construction and preparing Site Observation Reports
- Developing project specific test scripts including Level 2 Installation Verification Checklists, Level 4
- Functional Performance Tests (FPT), and Level 5 Integrated Systems Tests (IST).
- Onsite execution and witnessing of tests.
- Managing the resolution of Commissioning Issues.
- You will have a high-level understating of engineering knowledge, specifically in the built environment.
- You have experience in design and/or construction of hyperscale Data Centers
- You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You can respond thoughtfully and effectively to sensitive situations.
- You will have intermediate analytical skills able be able to analyze relevant information and provide thoughtful solutions.
- You have knowledge and understanding of equipment and systems Sequences of Operations development and documentation for functional test scripts.
- You have equipment startup and commissioning experience (witnessing contractor activation and functional testing of equipment and systems using functional test scripts)
Educational / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 2+ years of equivalent MEP construction, commissioning and project management experience.
- Professional Engineering License is not required but preferred.
- Certification in Building Commissioning is not required but preferred.
- OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety is required.
- OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety is not required but preferred.
- Knowledge of Building Automation Systems is a plus.
- Field experience is preferred.
- NFPE-70E is Required
- Ability to read construction drawings.

Travel: 50% - 70%
The expected base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $150,000+ USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
