Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer (Controls)
Job Description
Facilities Engineer - Controls play an integral part of ensuring optimal performance within our data centers and will be increasingly important to our teams moving towards the future. As such we are looking to strengthen our Campus which includes 5 sites within extremely close proximity in Mascot/Alexandria.
The Facility Engineers are responsible for supervising and performing facilities engineering work, including (but not limited to), programming, alarm response, fault finding, maintenance, repairs, and modification of equipment relating to controls, electrical, mechanical systems and equipment – and the ideal candidate will be expected to have a strong understanding across disciplines.
We have a variety of BMS control systems across various sites so broad experience programming and configuration commissioning will be highly advantageous, including but not limited to experience with Tridium, JACE, AVEVA (Wonderware), Rockwell PLC. Proven experience with data collection and conversion software will be highly regarded, as will exposure to DDC, PLC, DCS debugging and programming.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Rounded and extensive experience monitoring, operating and specifically programming controls systems, an ability to understand and implement controls strategies and architecture
  • Project experience will be highly regarded
  • Great demeanor, positive outlook, enjoys working in a collaborative team
  • May have led a small team or worked with multiple vendors
  • Excels at problem solving and thinking on their feet
  • 3 + years experience post trade or degree with relevant experience
  • Mechatronics/Controls related trade cert or University certifications
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills/ Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
