WHO ARE WE?
Equinix is the world’s digital infrastructure company®, shortening the path to connectivity to enable the innovations that enrich our work, life and planet.
A place where bold ideas are welcomed, human connection is valued, and everyone has the opportunity to shape their future.
Joining our operations team means being at the center of everything – maintaining and evolving critical infrastructure that powers the digital world and delivers real impact for our customers, communities and society. You’ll find belonging, purpose, and a team that welcomes you—because when you feel valued, you’re empowered to do your best work.
At Equinix, our Critical Facilities Engineers operate, manage, maintain, and repair critical and non-critical power systems, HVAC, BMS, plumbing, fire control & suppression, and all site services. Our critical facilities specialists also perform all related vendor support in a mission critical environment.
This fast-paced role supports the overall functioning of the data center by focusing on maintaining and improving the facility’s critical infrastructure. This includes all regularly scheduled maintenance and ad hoc repairs/troubleshooting.
For this position we are recruiting for a mechanical/HVAC specialist to help balance the team, so strong understanding and ideally recent hands-on service work with chillers, AHU, CRAC, HVAC systems will be highly regarded, as will a foundation knowledge with electrical and controls systems. This role is at level 6, meaning 1 level below our specialist engineers, and the position is vacant due to an internal promotion
This role will be suitable for an individual with positive attitude who is willing to go beyond a job description and a written process to contribute to the success of our data center operations. As our engineers will work in a highly collaborative environment, a team-first mindset will be crucial in navigating through the workdays.
