As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Center Engineer Supervisor to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.
The Data Center Engineer Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operational efficiency of critical infrastructure systems within a data center. This role involves performing advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, as well as supervising and mentoring a team of technicians to ensure continuous and reliable operation.
Shift - Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm
Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Management : Schedule, complete site walkthroughs, review proposals for corrective maintenance activities to ensure availability and site up time.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Execute complex preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, including generators, UPS systems, cooling units, and fire suppression systems.
• Monitoring Systems: Utilize building management systems (BMS) and other monitoring tools to track system performance, respond to alarms, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, system performance, and any incidents or repairs performed.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Supervision and Mentorship: Lead and supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to standards. Mentor junior technicians to develop their skills and knowledge.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, facility managers, and other stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities and share critical information.
• Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duties and respond to emergencies, including power outages, equipment failures, and other critical incidents.
• Project Management: Oversee and manage projects related to system upgrades, expansions, and new installations. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in a similar role within the data center industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, including the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with experience managing and mentoring a team of technicians.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively document activities and communicate with team members.
