Responsibilities
  • Supports the team with coordinating large customer deliveries and resolving shipping or receiving issues, keeping records/logs of all materials
  • Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice
  • Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments

Documentation & System Updates

  • Coordinates speedy and efficient delivery of goods to the required destination and obtains sign-off for receipt
  • Informs recipients that goods ordered have been delivered

Shipping & Receiving

  • Maintains records of materials received and shipped, within a semi-routine scope
  • Receives goods delivered to the Data Center either directly or following acceptance by security
  • Enters all relevant details of all inbound/outbound shipments and ensures order requirements are fulfilled
  • Uses shipment spotlight and shipment dashboard for customers inbound/outbound shipments
  • Inspects received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items where necessary

Problem Solving

  • Proactively works and communicates with internal/external customers to ensure on-time deliveries
  • May assist with resolving difficult shipping and receiving issues

Hazardous Materials

  • Follows established procedures on hazardous materials, requires supervision on new assignments
  • Follows and complies with hazardous materials within semi-routine protocols, as described by regional regulatory bodies

Equipment

  • Tracks stored and/or abandoned equipment
  • Uses the aging shipment business processes/tools for Shipments over 5 days, 14 days, 30 days and 90 days

Data Center Support

  • Assists with delivering and removal of customers equipment from cages through the use of established procedures
  • When requested by a Smart Hand (SH) request, assists with packing customers equipment with packing material so that it can be shipped from the Data Center
