POSITION OVERVIEW
If you are an analytical, strategically minded mission critical facility and data center MEP infrastructure expert with an interest in helping to grow our assessment and modernization strategy team, this may be an ideal career opportunity for you. Align seeks an experienced data center facility infrastructure advisor with a background in electrical and mechanical systems. 5-7 years’ experience working with data centers or mission critical facility infrastructure is desired with a comprehensive understanding of critical systems necessary to data center operations. This role will focus on Critical Infrastructure Analysis, Data Center Remediation, Capacity and Demand Analysis, Project Management and Consulting. This person will work with our Data Center Assessment and Modernization team focused on Data Center Strategy and Transformation to perform hands-on analysis of critical data center environments and the supporting mechanical and electrical infrastructure. You will work on “current state” to “future state” data center assessment projects and will be asked to utilize your knowledge of data center facility infrastructure to perform analysis on critical system vulnerabilities and provide guidance on possible remediation options. This person will work with senior consultants and other subject matter experts to help perform hands-on current state assessment projects, including data center remediation planning and consolidation strategies for data center portfolios. This person will be responsible for managing complex projects, working in a dynamic environment to plan, schedule and execute projects for various-sized enterprise clients (facility infrastructure, capacity planning, remediation analysis, IT infrastructure, etc.). This role is not a hands-on design role but does require a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical infrastructure in the context of a data center environment. The focus of the role will be in evaluating physical data center environments and facility infrastructure and determining strategies and plans to remediate, move or consolidate existing infrastructure to its ideal target state.
