Description As a Data Center Quality Inspector I, you will deliver high-quality inspection and quality-assurance services for mission-critical data center projects. This role is responsible for conducting detailed inspections of electrical equipment and systems to ensure installations meet design specifications, safety standards, and client requirements. You will work closely with field teams, commissioning personnel, and site leadership to verify that electrical systems—including switchgear, substations, generators, and related distribution equipment—are installed safely, correctly, and ready for operation. Strong attention to detail, working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, and the ability to interpret technical drawings are essential to success in this role. This position is ideal for an analytical, safety-focused professional who communicates clearly, documents work accurately, and takes pride in delivering reliable, high-quality outcomes. Travel may be required. Key Responsibilities Read, interpret, and verify compliance with electrical drawings, specifications, and project documentation. Perform inspections of electrical distribution systems, including switchgear, substations, standby generators, protective relays, and associated components. Ensure all work complies with company policies, site-specific procedures, and applicable safety requirements. Prepare accurate and timely documentation, including daily work narratives, special inspection reports, and time-tracking records. Submit and manage Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requests in accordance with site procedures. Review and approve team reports and inspection documentation as required. Identify quality or safety concerns and communicate findings to project stakeholders. Support continuous improvement by adhering to best practices in quality control and field execution. Minimum of two (2) years of experience inspecting, testing, commissioning, or operating electrical distribution systems; commercial or naval nuclear experience strongly preferred. OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification required. Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and high professional standards. Proven ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications. Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, accurate inspection and time-tracking documentation. Ability to identify quality or safety issues and effectively communicate findings to project stakeholders.
