Description
We are looking for an experienced Data Center Technician to support day-to-day operations. In this role, you will be responsible for physical IT infrastructure tasks, Hands & Feet support, and operational reliability of server, network, and storage systems. Tasks Rack, stack, cable, label, and decommission servers, network, and storage equipment Replace and install hardware components (structured IMAC/R activities) Patch and manage copper and fiber cabling Support troubleshooting of hardware, power, and connectivity issues Network management and DC infratructure monitoring Documentation in ticketing and asset management systems Escort vendors and comply with data center security and access procedures Automation and scripting Participate in on-call duty or shift work Requirements 3+ years of hands-on experience in a data center or comparable IT infrastructure environment Solid understanding of server hardware, network devices and cabling Experience working with ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira, OTRS or similar) Ability to follow runbooks, SOPs, and change procedures precisely High attention to detail, reliability, and documentation discipline Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus German drivers license advantageous Benefits Personal benefits, flexibly tailored to your needs—e.g., job ticket, JobRad, Gympass, or other individually agreed-upon additional benefits Projects in an international environment An open communication culture with flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths Support for professional and personal development
