JOB SUMMARY:

As an Entry-Level Customer Operations Data Center Technician, you will assist in handling work order requests, maintain documentation, and support various tasks in our data center. This role includes racking and stacking equipment, assisting with installations and cross-connects, conducting basic testing, and troubleshooting under supervision. You will also support operations and security teams, ensure customer satisfaction, manage deployment expectations, and provide on-site support. Join our amazing team in FR5, Frankfurt!

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Language Skills: Proficiency in German and English.
  • Educational Background: Completed training in IT, Telecommunications, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience: Any hands-on experience in IT, hardware maintenance, or installation is beneficial but not required.
  • Customer Service: A strong orientation towards customer service and satisfaction.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn more.
Responsibilities
  1. Queue Management / Reporting:
  • Check Work Orders: Look at requests for work that need to be done and respond to them quickly.
  • Keep Records: Write down what you do in a system so everyone knows the status of each request.
  1. Installations:
  • * Set Up Equipment:* Assist in placing and securing customer equipment in racks (like shelves for servers).
  • Support Basic Installations: Help with simple tasks like organizing cables and setting up equipment.
  1. Cross-Connect:
  • Assist with Connections: Help with connecting cables and making changes as needed for customer setups.
  1. Testing / Troubleshooting:
  • Help Test Equipment: Support basic tests to check if equipment is working properly.
  • Fix Simple Problems: Help identify and solve easy issues with guidance from more experienced team members.
  1. Stakeholder Partnership:
  • Work with Other Teams: Collaborate with other teams, like operations and security, when needed.
  1. Customer Management:
  • Keep Customers: Make sure customers are satisfied by following the steps needed to complete their requests.
  • Provide Good Service: Be friendly and helpful when interacting with customers.
  • Manage Expectations: Help customers understand what to expect for new installations or services.
  1. On-Site Support:
  • Provide On-Site Help: Assist customers and visitors by helping them access the facility and guiding them where they need to go.
