Data Collector, Centre of Excellence for Trauma and Emergencies Introduction: Aga Khan University chartered in 1983 as Pakistan's first private international university, is committed to the provision of education, research, and health care of international standards relevant to Pakistan and the region. The affiliated Aga Khan University Hospital provides state-of-the-art clinical facilities and well-equipped diagnostic services. The University currently has teaching sites in Pakistan, East Africa, the United Kingdom, and Afghanistan, and is a major component of Aga Khan Development Network. The primary goal of the Centre of Excellence, Trauma and Emergencies (CETE) is to improve health outcomes of individuals and populations affected by trauma and emergencies including motor vehicle crashes, complex humanitarian crises, disasters due to climate change and large-scale epidemics. The CETE will work with AKDN partners (including the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat), global academic and response institutions, governments, private sector and funding agencies to strengthen day-to-day trauma and emergency systems as well as disaster preparedness and response in low and lower middle income countries, especially those where AKU and AKDN is active. This is a short-term grant-funded contractual position. Responsibilities: You will be responsible to: collect data accurately and efficiently according to established protocols and guidelines ensure confidentiality and integrity of collected data throughout the process communicate effectively with study participants and maintain a professional demeanour at all times conduct follow-up visits to patients’ homes and remain flexible to work in shift hours coordinate with the research team to resolve any issues or concerns arising during data collection complete necessary documentation and reports in a timely manner adhere to ethical standards and research protocols throughout the data collection process participate in training sessions as required and stay updated on relevant procedures and guidelines. Requirements: You should have: a bachelor’s degree from a reputable institute at least one year of relevant experience, preferably in community settings, schools, hospitals, or research facilities excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively ability to work effectively in teams and resilience to cope with work pressure willingness to work in community settings and travel as per work requirements proficiency in the use of computer applications, particularly MS Word and Excel. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
