Qualification
:
We are looking for an experienced Data Encryption/Crypto Architect to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cryptographic concepts and hands-on experience designing and implementing secure key management solutions in cloud environments. This role will be responsible for building, validating, and maintaining cryptographic infrastructure and services that protect sensitive data and enable secure communication across systems.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with cryptographic architectures and standards (e.g., PKCS, FIPS 140-2/3, NIST).
  • Familiarity with cloud-native encryption and Key Management Services across major CSPs (AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, GCP Cloud KMS).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, GitHub, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Experience with certificate management tools and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation of cryptographic asset deployment.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security principles and secure software development practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in regulated industries or environments with strict compliance requirements.
  • ground in security audits or implementing cryptographic controls for certifications (SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.).
  • Knowledge of modern DevSecOps practices and security automation frameworks.

Role

:

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of core cryptographic concepts including encryption algorithms, hashing, digital signatures, and secure protocols.
  • Design and implement secure Key Management Systems in compliance with industry standards and cloud provider capabilities.
  • Build GitHub and Terraform modules for managing:
  • Keys
  • Certificates
  • Certificate Authorities
  • Other cryptographic assets
  • Ensure cryptographic assets and services meet enterprise Data Protection and Compliance standards.
  • Validate and audit existing services, Terraform Enterprise (TFE) modules, and infrastructure to ensure adherence to security requirements.
  • Assist in defining and implementing Service Control Policies (SCPs) and service certification processes.
  • Develop and deploy custom applications focused on secure data protection.
  • Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation and playbooks to support operational readiness and knowledge sharing.
  • Support key exchange mechanisms between Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and customers.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on secure key handling practices in multi-cloud environments.
