JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Data Science, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience with Python, SQL, Scala
  • Proficiency in Python/Scala for data engineering and ETL processes
  • Strong expertise in developing Apache Spark applications using PySpark
  • Hands-on experience with at least one platform: Cloudera, Databricks, or Snowflake
  • Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud services (AWS, Azure)
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across disciplines and with team members of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to be proactive with regards to problem-solving and strong analytical skills
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks/priorities

Responsibilities
  • Ingest and aggregate data from external data sources to build datasets and make them ready for consumption.
  • Help drive optimization, testing, and tooling to improve data quality
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various internal and external sources.
  • Build and assemble large complex data sets that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Conduct data quality analysis, maintain master data, and ensure data integrity and consistency across all data sources.
  • Document data architecture, pipeline workflows, and create data models to facilitate effective data management.
  • Work with stakeholders, including business, product, and technology teams, to support data infrastructure and troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • Provide guidance to team members, sharing expertise on best practices in data engineering, data system creation, and data validation.
  • With minimal direction, plans, implements, manages, and/or contributes on projects that are moderate to high complexity and scale using accepted project management standards.
