THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data Analytics team. In this role, you will work closely with senior BI developers, data engineers, and project managers to build, test, and maintain software applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical skills and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 years of experience in a Data Pipeline or software development role
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Development / Ability to understand complex SQL Queries / Working with relational databases.
  • Ability to analyze data and determine the relationships that exist within the data
  • Familiar with the components of a Data Pipeline (Data Sources, Data Ingestion, Data Processing, Data Storage, Data Consumption, and Data Governance)
  • Preferred experience in application design, architecture, development, and deployment using Business Intelligence tools (Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau).
  • A strong analytical and logical mindset preferred
  • Experience working with REST APIs is a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and pass a standard background check
Responsibilities
  • Translate complex and advanced functional, technical, and business requirements into executable architectural designs
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to transform large volumes of data.
  • Leverage SQL, Spark, and Python for querying and managing data workflows.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to ensure efficient scalable data pipelines.
  • Implement and optimize data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or Cloudera.
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and performance throughout the bronze, silver, and gold stages of the data pipeline.
  • Develop and execute unit tests and validation checks to maintain data quality.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize data workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data across different sources and formats.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, workflows, and mappings.
  • Perform detailed data analysis (i.e. determine the structure, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems and data samples)
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Deliver technical insights and interpret the data reports to the clients. Also help in understanding and serving the client’s requirements
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with data inconsistencies in data models or reports
  • Assist with data validation, cleansing, and troubleshooting
  • Transferring knowledge and transitioning application to Support Team
  • Design and create data visualizations leverage various Business Intelligence tools as required to support user stories
