As a Data Engineer in the Data Warehouse & Governance team, you will actively shape the data infrastructure of Allianz Private Health Insurance. You will develop data-driven solutions that enable well-informed business decisions and work at the interface between business units, IT, and data architecture. You will take on responsibility for your own use cases early on and drive innovative approaches in the business intelligence field. 

This is what awaits you as a Data Engineer in Data Warehouse & Governance (m/f/d) with us.  

• Data warehouse development : You will maintain and further develop the data warehouse and ensure complete documentation.
• Data modeling : You develop and maintain dbt models for the transformation and modeling of data in the data warehouse.
• AI : You drive the use of AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) within the team – from code review and ETL pipelines to quality assurance – and systematically build up AI expertise.
• Data quality : You are responsible for the provision, maintenance, and quality assurance of overarching data dimensions related to the operational and sales structure.
• Requirements analysis : You network with the specialist departments, analyze technical requirements and implement them according to need.
• Governance : You support the implementation of governance requirements for IT applications and internal data processing.
• Consulting : You advise the specialist departments on analysis and evaluation requests as well as on quality assurance of processing procedures.
• Self-service solutions : You will expand existing reporting and data processing systems in the area of ​​self-service and develop new solutions.
• Market observation : You observe trends in data architecture, data engineering and analytics and implement sensible approaches profitably.

What you bring to the table as a Data Engineer Data Warehouse & Governance (m/f/d)  

• Education:  You have a completed degree in (business) informatics, mathematics, statistics or a comparable field.
• Data warehouse experience:  You have experience in the field of data warehousing and business intelligence.
• SQL & Programming:  You have a solid command of SQL and programming experience (e.g., Python, SAS, or R).
• Complexity: you have the ability to break down complex topics to their essentials and implement them in a practical way.
• Data analysis : You are skilled in handling data preparation, analysis, and evaluation.
• BI and reporting tools : You have experience with BI and reporting tools such as MicroStrategy or Power BI.
• Communication & personal responsibility : You communicate openly, convince stakeholders and can independently drive projects forward.
• Analytical thinking : You master challenges thanks to your analytical strength and your pronounced conceptual thinking skills.
• Language skills : You have fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
• Regulations : You are interested in familiarizing yourself with regulatory standards and maintain a high level of diligence in documentation.
• Ideally, you have experience with software tools such as dbt and Git, as well as with cloud platforms such as AWS or Snowflake.
