ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong experience in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence.
  • Proficient in data analysis and visualisation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical, detail-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain data to non-technical colleagues.
  • Organised and independent to be able to manage your roadmap in a new role.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with cloud-based data storage solutions.
  • Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, or other scripting languages for automation.
  • Previous experience working with manufacturing systems.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data governance best practices.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer/Analyst to join our team. You will be responsible for collecting, integrating, and analysing data from across the business, from production and logistics to sales and finance.
As the first dedicated data professional in the company, you will help us build and implement reliable systems and dashboards, ensuring we have accurate, real-time information to support key business decisions. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys both the technical and analytical side of data and someone who wants to make a tangible impact in a fast-moving company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement robust systems for data collection, storage, and processing from multiple departments.
  • Analyse trends and identify insights to support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and security across all systems.
  • Work with SCADA, MES, and ERP systems to automate flows and ensure clean, integrated data.
  • Collaborate with IT and operational teams to ensure proper data integration across platforms.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying areas where data can enhance business efficiency.
  • Contribute to organisational awareness of technical best practice and ensure that faults are resolved promptly to reduce downtime.
