ASIC’s Data Engineering team is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will support data delivery and data infrastructure across the organisation.

  • 24-Month Fixed Term Full-Time Position
  • Salary from $123,444 to $144,368 (depending on experience) + 15.4 % superannuation

Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enabling ASIC’s data-driven operations. Your responsibilities will include designing and maintaining robust data ingestion pipelines, managing secure and efficient data transfers into ASIC’s systems, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of data to support core business functions. This role is critical to empowering analytics, enhancing operational decision-making, and supporting the broader technology transformation underway at ASIC.

More specifically, you will:

  • Provide ongoing support for data infrastructure, including the cloud platform, data lake, data marts, and dashboards.
  • Monitor data platform performance and recommend infrastructure enhancements to maintain optimal benchmarks.
  • Design and implement ETL pipelines using CI/CD methodologies.
  • Contribute to the development and deployment of solution designs and big data platform strategies across all environments (development, integration, pre-production, production, and support).
  • Communicate technical updates and project priorities to leadership, including timelines, budgets, and data technology considerations.
  • Investigate and resolve data-related incidents promptly.
