Job Description Overview:We are seeking a skilled and proactive Data Engineer with deep expertise in AWS and Apache Iceberg to lead and support a strategic data platform migration initiative. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about building scalable, high-performance data solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead the migration of data infrastructure from Snowflake to Apache Iceberg. Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using AWS services including Lambda, Glue, Spark, and Athena. Implement and optimize data models and workflows using DBT and SQL. Integrate and manage real-time data streams using Kafka. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, performance, and reliability. Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the migration and implementation phases. Required Skills & Experience: Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: Lambda, S3, Glue, Spark, Athena. Proven expertise in Apache Iceberg and data lake architecture. Proficiency in DBT for data transformation and modeling. Solid understanding of Kafka for stream processing. Advanced SQL skills and experience with Snowflake. Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with large-scale data migrations. Familiarity with CI/CD practices in data engineering Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions/applications. 1.
