This is a hybrid role based in Montreal, QC, with 3 days in office.

QUALIFICATIONS:



    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    • 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
    • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following database technologies: DB2, Sybase, or Snowflake.
    • Strong proficiency in SQL, stored procedures, and experience with data modeling.
    • Experience with cloud platforms and data warehousing solutions.
    • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python.
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

    Responsibilities

    INFORMATION SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES



      • Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols

      • Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
      • Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
      • Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information

      RESPONSIBILITIES:



        • Design, implement, and manage data pipelines to process and transform data from various sources.

        • Develop and maintain ETL processes and data models to ensure data quality and integrity.
        • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
        • Optimize database performance and troubleshoot any data-related issues.
        • Ensure data security and compliance with organizational and industry standards.
        • Stay updated with the latest advancements in data engineering technologies and practices.
