Over the coming years, the CIBG will continue working on increasing the organization's data maturity. The foundation for this has already been laid with the setup of our Azure data platform and the development of various information products. We are now taking the next step: further strengthening our data expertise, increasing data awareness, and making smarter use of data within the organization. As a Data Engineer, you will play an important role in this.

You will be working within the Public Nodes and Registers (PKR) department, where you will collaborate with colleagues on a future-proof data foundation. You will develop and manage data solutions that make data from various sources available securely, reliably, and efficiently. In doing so, you ensure that colleagues have access to high-quality data for analyses, dashboards, and information products that contribute to improved service delivery and good healthcare information.

You work closely with the data architect, data analyst, and data scientist, among others. Together, you ensure that our data infrastructure is continuously developed. You feel at home in a dynamic and managerial environment, work independently, and actively contribute ideas for improvements. Thanks to your technical knowledge and proactive attitude, you make a significant contribution to the further development of the CIBG as a data-driven organization.

A selection of your duties

• Designing, developing, and managing scalable data pipelines and source connections within our managed Azure Analytics Platform.
• Unlocking, transforming, and integrating data from various source systems using a metadata-driven approach, and ensuring reliable and well-managed data models.
• Setting up logging, monitoring, data quality checks, and error handling to ensure the reliability of the data.
• Collaborate with the data architect, data scientist, data analyst, and IT colleagues to further develop data solutions and ensure they optimally align with the organization's needs.
• Contribute to the further development of the data platform and information products, actively contributing ideas for improvements and innovative applications.
