Description
Project description: We are looking for Data Engineers and BI Developers to join our team working on projects within the defence and security sector. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising data analytics and Business Intelligence solutions across the full data lifecycle. Depending on your seniority (Regular/Senior), you will work on advanced data modeling, performance optimisation, large-scale data processing, and data visualisation, as well as building and maintaining reliable data infrastructures. Location: Poland (On-site Wrocław / Hybrid – depending on security requirements) Employment type: Contract of Employment Main responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimise BI and data analytics solutions Participate in the full data lifecycle: ingestion, transformation, modeling, and visualisation Build and maintain ETL / ELT data pipelines Develop and optimise data models (e.g. Analysis Services, LookML, or similar) Work with large datasets, ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability Automate data workflows using SQL, Python, or Scala Monitor data quality and KPI metrics Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements Deliver data-driven insights supporting decision-making (For Data Engineers) Support development of data infrastructure and processing environments (including on-premise systems) Requirements: Strong experience with SQL or similar query languages Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik, Looker, Tableau) Experience with ETL / ELT processes Solid knowledge of data modeling and optimisation techniques Understanding of data quality management and KPI monitoring Experience in scripting for automation (SQL, Python, or Scala) Experience working across the full data analytics lifecycle Strong communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders Fluent Polish (C2/native) and English (B2/C1) Additional Requirements (Defence Projects): Experience working with on-premise environments Willingness to undergo security clearance procedures (up to NATO Secret / Tajne) Willingness to complete required checks for working with defence-related technologies Nice to Have: Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Knowledge of data warehouse / data lake architectures Experience in public sector, defence, or security projects Familiarity with NATO / STANAG standards Experience working with large-scale data platforms Proactive mindset and willingness to grow
