DATA ENGINEERS - TWO OPENINGS

Location: Nashville/Hybrid or Remote
Job Status: Exempt; Full-Time
Role Reports To: Director of Data Engineering

As Data Engineer at Embold Health, you will serve as a key contributor in the ingestion, aggregation, structuring and analysis of terabytes of healthcare and operational data. You will build complex ETL and ELT systems that make consistent, reliable data available for both our data science and healthcare analysis teams, as well as our core products, which present this analytic data to both consumer and sophisticated business user audiences. REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum two years of working as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, ETL Developer, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience in a Microsoft Azure environment
  • Working experience in Python and Apache Spark
  • Prior experience with Databricks
  • Experience solving complex business problems
  • Tremendous motivator, extraordinary interpersonal skills working with engineers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience with Elasticsearch for search
  • Prior experience with Azure, including Databricks on Azure and Azure Synapse DW
Responsibilities
  • Build data pipelines that transform and deliver structured and unstructured data into various parts of our ecosystem
  • Write complex ETL and ELT software using Azure Databricks and Apache Spark
  • Utilize Python, SQL and other data engineering tools to transform data
  • Understands and uses various data stores, including Databricks, Elasticsearch, and PostgreSQL
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, self-organization, and continuous improvement through innovative solutions
  • Assist teams in finding innovative and creative ways of solving problems
