About the Position: Epic Staffing Group is looking for a(n) Data Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing modern data architecture to support the organization’s reporting, analytics, and enterprise decision-making needs. This role ensures the scalability, automation, and reliability of data infrastructure by leveraging expertise in SQL, Python, API integrations, and cloud-based technologies. The Data Engineer enables accessible, high-quality data that enhances business intelligence and drives strategic insight across the organization. This position follows a night shift schedule and operates under a remote work setup, with some days required on-site. What You'll Do: Develops and maintains enterprise data architecture that supports efficient integration, transformation, and storage across systems. Establishes and manages frameworks that ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability of data models supporting business intelligence and analytics. Oversees integration processes that connect internal and external data sources into unified, trusted datasets. Designs and maintains automated data workflows that streamline movement, transformation, and monitoring across platforms. Utilizes programming and automation techniques to optimize performance and reduce manual intervention. Ensures data pipelines operate with accuracy, timeliness, and reliability to meet evolving business requirements. Implements standards and controls to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of organizational data. What You'll Bring: 3 years of experience in data engineering or cloud-based data platform development. Advanced proficiency in SQL, including query optimization, indexing, and stored procedure development. Practical experience with modern data architecture and integration tools within a cloud environment. Strong knowledge of Python for data transformation, automation, and API integration. Proven ability to design and implement REST or SOAP APIs for data connectivity. Solid understanding of data modeling principles, including star schema, dimensional modeling, and data vault design. Experience integrating data from CRM, ERP, ATS, and financial systems to support enterprise reporting. Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI. Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing concepts, including governance, quality, and security best practices. Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language as required for effective performance of job duties.
