JOB SUMMARY: WE SEEK JOINT EXPERTISE IN POWER SYSTEMS & DATA STORYTELLING
Our ET Strategic Initiatives team is seeking an experienced Engineer with a strong background in data engineering technology and development to help further our business’ power system analytic capabilities. An ideal candidate is driven by the pursuit of excellence – this is not a job for wrench-turning, but rather for those compelled to identify problems and solve them with critical thinking abilities and working with a multi-faceted team. Candidates must bring the ability to identify gaps in knowledge and organizational capability and pinpoint uses for data and storytelling techniques to ensure we serve the business with improved data-decision making technology. A successful candidate will focus on:
- Forging new relationships across the organization in search of applicable use cases and opportunities to use time series data as a backbone for analysis and decision-making and guiding/building out bespoke solutions.
- Ongoing account management – working with existing relationships to meet established project requirements and ensure any analytic/application outputs meet the stated objective of customer established requirements.
- Ensuring uptime and proper operation of our PI system resources – this will require continuous engagement with our IT team and vendor to ensure current and future state operations of PI are nominally operational for the organization.
- Trial and error through agile methods with the established stakeholder group; in the pursuit of lightweight applications and capabilities, we operate through constant contact and focus on results and proving value, not through over-engineered top-down solutioning.
- Continuous learning: whether it’s new technologies or growth in our company’s vertical, our most successful team members are those who have an insatiable desire to learn and improve.
- Exploring new techniques and PI features to model time-series and asset data. Whether leveraging native PI capabilities, or utilizing SDK and API capabilities to establish data services and create improved capabilities outside.
This position will be filled at the level commensurate with the selected candidates’ skills and abilities.
