“You will be part of our Viby (DK) based AFI IT team however working out of Gdansk, where you will sit next to the Data Platforms team on a daily basis. You will work closely with various stakeholders online, transforming raw data into actionable insights. From Gdansk, you will collaborate across the entire organization as you support our cloud-based analytics platform,” says Maja Jakobsen, AFI IT Business Partner.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL

We’re looking for a candidate with a robust technical skill set, preferably 3-4 years of experience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your passion for data and analytics, combined with your ability to communicate effectively, will drive your success in this role.

  • Several years of experience with cloud services, ideally Microsoft Azure: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks/Spark, Function Apps, CI/CD, Terraform, Unity catalog.
  • Solid experience with ETL processes and data transformations.
  • Proficiency in Python and Pyspark, along with strong SQL skills.
  • Clear communication in English.
  • Ability to process large amounts of structured and unstructured data.
Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing analytics and BI requirements. You will design, develop, and support our cloud-based solutions, ensuring seamless data integration and transformation and furthermore:

  • Collaborate with internal customers to define analytics and BI requirements.
  • Build ETL pipelines using Azure PaaS tools, SQL, and/or Python on a Spark-based analytics platform.
  • Design, develop, and support cloud-based analytics solutions and applications.
  • Provide technical feedback to solution architects and developers.
  • Perform data exploration and modeling to enhance data-driven decision-making
