WHAT WILL OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAVE?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM-related field or equivalent experience
  • Five or more years of related work experience
  • Looking for someone who has foundational knowledge of data engineering concepts, tools, and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, and Cloud Platforms).
  • Looking for someone who has a strong understanding of AWS Cloud Analytical Services such as S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
  • Looking for someone who has experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Terraform.
  • Looking for someone who has an eagerness to learn and apply modern data engineering practices to build scalable and reliable data solutions.
  • Looking for someone who has a strong interest in working closely with the Data Lake Admin Team to support security, access control, and governance of data platforms.
  • Solid problem-solving skills with a willingness to explore and iterate on solutions with guidance
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to work collaboratively within a team and take feedback constructively
  • A growth mindset and openness to learning from more experienced engineers in an agile, supportive team environment

Responsibilities
  • Build and operationalize complex data solutions, correct problems, apply transformations, and recommend data cleansing/quality solutions.
  • Design data solutions.
  • Analyze sources to determine value and recommend data to include in analytical processes.
  • Incorporate core data management competencies including data governance, data security and data quality.
  • Collaborate within and across teams to support delivery and educate end users on data products/analytic environment.
  • Perform data and system analysis, assessment and resolution for defects and incidents of moderate complexity and correct as appropriate.
  • Test data movement, transformation code, and data components.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
