Summary This role applies intermediate, to advanced data engineering principles, theories, and concepts to solve a range of business problems of varying complexity. Utilizes tools, techniques, and professional knowledge acquired through specialized training, education, or experience. Exercises professional judgment—from limited to independent decision-making—within defined parameters or established practices to determine and execute appropriate actions. Develops practical expertise across various business processes, technologies, and data domains. Acts as a collaborative and informed team member by providing information, analysis, and recommendations in support of team efforts. Key Responsibilities Participates as a member of a data engineering team Conducts thorough analysis of technical requirements ranging from basic to advanced complexity to support solution design and implementation Designs and develops solutions of basic to advanced complexity Completes data engineering activities individually or as defined by more senior engineers Leads design and outcome reviews Designs, prepares and executes manual and/or automated test plans and scripts Leverages advanced data engineering expertise to perform routine and complex maintenance, optimization, and support of data-driven solutions, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance Collaborates effectively with business and technical teams, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to drive alignment. Typical Education Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or universityRelevant Experience 4-10 years of Data Engineering experienceRequired Certifications Knowledge & Skills Required Advanced understanding of data engineering with the ability to address highly complex issues. Skilled in one or more programming languages such as Python or SQL. Applies advanced methodologies for data engineering (i.e., ETL, data orchestration, data modeling, data quality, etc.)  Experience with Azure DevOps, Databricks, SQL, and Data Modeling. Strong verbal and written communication skills, contributing to team design activities and documentation. Applies critical thinking and strong technical aptitude to solve complex problems. Experience delivering data solutions through Agile software development methodologies is ideal but not required.
