Requisition Details Job Description Summary The Data Engineer Intern will assist in developing and delivering core data engineering and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate is curious, resourceful, and eager to learn practical data engineering skills in a data-product environment. You will work closely with senior data engineers, data scientists, and product teams to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and platforms that power analytics and data products. The Boeing Company is looking for a data engineer intern who can support the design, development and maintenance of data pipelines and data products. As part of the core data engineering group, the candidate will play role in developing innovative, reusable, and scalable solutions. This position will work effectively with cross-functional teams and technical leads to determine, define, and deploy analytics solutions to meet business goals. We are expanding and growing in all areas on the frontier of the aerospace industry. This role is based out of Bengaluru, Karnataka, INDIA. Position Responsibilities: Learn and follow the best practices of engineering: code reviews, testing, and documentation. Participate in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives, report progress and blockers. Support data platform operations: monitor jobs, investigate failures, and triage incidents. Assist with data quality checks, validation rules, and maintaining data catalogs and metadata. Document data sources, schemas, and pipeline behavior for internal stakeholders. Data Products Development Help build, extend, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, transform, and serve data for analytics and ML use-cases. Implement transformations and join in Spark or Python to produce clean, production-ready datasets. Contribute to incremental jobs and orchestration workflows (Airflow/Step Functions or similar). Collaborate with data scientists and product managers to deliver datasets and metrics that support product features and KPIs. Optimize queries and pipelines for performance and cost-efficiency; suggest improvements.
