Description
  • You will develop and operate scalable data products as well as ETL and ELT pipelines for our commerce and customer domains.
  • You model data from Checkout, Orders, Payments, Customer, Loyalty and Customer Service and make it available to product teams and analytics.
  • You integrate data from different systems and event-based sources , including via Kafka.
  • You will develop high-performance, traceable and reusable data models using our modern data stack.
  • You ensure data quality, governance and data protection , especially when handling personal customer and payment data.
  • You will work closely with Product Management, Software Engineering, Data and Business , and take responsibility for your data products from requirement to productive operation.
  • You actively contribute to our Data Engineering Practice and further develop common standards and working methods.

This is what you bring with you

  • Several years of experience in data engineering or a comparable role.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL and Python , as well as experience with ETL/ELT and data modeling.
  • Experience with a modern data stack, ideally Snowflake, dbt and Prefect .
  • Experience with Kafka or similar event and streaming technologies .
  • Knowledge of AWS and ideally Infrastructure as Code with Pulumi or Terraform.
  • A good understanding of data quality, data governance, and the handling of personal data .
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional product or development teams.
  • A self-reliant, structured and solution-oriented way of working.
  • German at least B2 level and fluent English.

Nice to have

  • Experience with e-commerce, checkout, order or payment data .
  • Knowledge in the areas of Customer Data, CRM, Loyalty or Customer Service .
  • Experience with data mesh and domain-oriented data products .
